Tamenglong, 30th March 2017: One person (male) spot dead and 5 persons injured in a road accident today near Tamenglong Khunjao.
The incident happened today at around 12.00 pm, when the ill-fated TATA truck carrying 17 persons from Tamenglong Bazar after attending an inauguration function of a new building at Tamenglong District HQ, and was heading for Namtiram village along Tamenglong-Namtiram Road.
Four persons got injured and amongst them two persons is reported serious. They were evacuated to Tamenglong District Hospital and further treatment is going on.
The deceased person is identified as Mr. Champing (43) and reported that he is a married man. The injured persons has been identified as 1. Akungliu(56), 2. Khengsiliu (29), 3. Giangreiliu(50), 4. Masenthuiliu(7) and 5. Agiangliu (45). All of them are admitted at District Hospital, Tamenglong.
