CM sets eyes on first 100 days

IMPHAL, Apr 20: Taking cues from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement regarding works and projects to be taken up within the first 100 days in office, Chief Minister N Biren is also planning a similar venture.

According to a source, the Chief Minister met the different Secretaries of various Departments today afternoon and minutely discussed the possible works which can be accomplished within the State Government’s first 100 days.

Extra emphasis were given to health, education, sports and transport sector during the meeting and the possibility of starting Sports University session within the stipulated time-frame was also discussed.

N Biren further urged the Secretaries to begin work immediately and to complete the projects in time, it added.

The BJP led Government was sworn in on March 15 after it cobbled up a coalition Government, with the NPF (4 MLAs), NPP (4 MLAs), one AITC MLA, one Independent and one LJP MLA.

Two Congress MLAs, Th Shyamkumar from Andro AC and Ginsuanhau from Singnat AC have also joined the BJP led coalition Government.
