Imphal, Jun 11 (DIPR): Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Minister V Hangkhanlian yesterday inaugurated Techno Paramedical Institute at Hauzel Mansion, Hiangtam Lamka, Churachandpur.
Techno Paramedical Institute is an authorised study centre of Bharat Sevak Samaj (BSS) which is a National development agency established in 1952 by the Planning Commissioner, Government of India.
Speaking at the function, Hangkhanlian appreciated the founder of the institute for establishing a technical institute in the district and said that the institute would provide training and jobs to educated unemployed youth after the completion of their chosen courses.
Techno Paramedical Institute offers paramedical courses like BSS diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician (2 years), BSS diploma in X-ray Technician (2 years course) BSS diploma in Ophthalmic Technician (2 years course) ECG technician (1 year course) and Laboratory Assistant, 1 year course.
The programme was also attended by Biakmuan Tombing, programme co-ordinator, Rev Khen P Tombing, chief moderator, PCI (R) and local people.
The Minister also attended the felicitation programme for successful students of HSL and HSS exams 2017 organised by Churachandpur Meetei Students’ Union at Khumu Jamba Meetei Leikai, Churachandpur yesterday.
Deputy Commissioner Shyamlal Poonia, Churachandpur ADC Chairman Khaipao Haokip, ADC Vice Chairman V Khaikhanmung were also present at the programme.
