Government Appeals People To Refrain from Indefinite Shutdown

Imphal, December09,2107 (DIPR): Inspector General (Admn.) of Manipur Police Dr. S. Ibocha Singh said that there was no decision taken and assurance given from the Chief Minister’s side that the Government would declare the results of the recruitment of the Police Constable, Male/Civil2013/2016 Batch on or before 7th December, 2017 to the JAC against All Manipur DPC completed re-recruitment candidates of the Police Constable, Male / Civil2013.

This was stated by him at the press conference held at the office chamber of IG (Admin), Police Headquaters, Imphal today.

Inspector General Dr. S. Ibocha Singh stated that the High Court of Manipur has given a time frame to the four member inquiry committeeled by Retd. Justice M. Binoy for the submission of the enquiry report by 22nd January,2018. He mentioned that the Police Department and Government cannot comment anything about the recruitment process such as whether the results would be declared or not as of now.

There was no discussion with the JAC that will amount to subjudice to the order of the Court, he added.

He appealed the people to refrain from the indefinite shutdown being called by the JAC. He also urged the office goers to attend their offices regularly, schools to remain open. He said that stern legal action would be taken against those bandh supporters.
