IMPHAL, Sep 8: The All Tribal Disabled Union, Manipur has stated that the Right to Information application it filed for furnishing the total list of selected and appointed candidates for Primary Teachers in the six autonomous district councils and the answer sheets and papers of written test conducted for appointment of Primary Teachers in the six ADCs has not received any proper response.

Stating that it was obvious from the delay in furnishing the reply that the process of appointment of primary teachers in the six ADCs was fraudulent, it said in a release that people without any merit had been chosen for the job while those with the proper qualification had been left out.

The union has also said that many of the appointed teachers cannot even read or write properly in English, making them completely incompetent for handling their teaching jobs, adding that because of this the parents were spending large amounts of money to send their children to proper schools whereas they could have not done so if the standard of teaching was not so poor in the government run schools.
