COPTAM campaign

LAMKA, Sep 7: The Committee on Protection of Tribal Areas, COPTAM, has accused the chief minister O .Ibobi Singh of failing to keep the promise he made in taking a favorable decision on its demands latest by the 25th of August. The promise was made by the CM earlier during a joint meeting at his chamber on the 16th August

As a result the COPTAM acting on the decision taken with the central, district wise executives and social organisations’ leaderships has decided to launch poster and banner campaign from the 10th of September.

It further said as per resolution No. 3 of the meeting 48-hours intensive general strike is to be called from midnight of 15th September in which only the press and medical services are to be exempted. This will be followed by other strikes till their demands are met, it said.
