MPSC defeated ESU in MSL football

IMPHAL, Sept 5: Manipur Police Sports Club defeated Eastern Sporting Union in today’s match of the Manipur State League football.
Both the MPSC goal came off free kicks.

Hemkhoson Touthang put MPSC ahead in the 27th minute as he netted in a beautiful goal off a free kick taken by Kanta.

Kanta was once again instrumental in giving MPSC its second goal as his perfect free kick was headed into the ESU net by K Premkumar in the 72nd minute.

ESU players did play with their hearts to equalize the two goal deficit but could not create much penetration into the MPSC goalmouth.

Match referee Ph Lanthoiba shown four yellow cards during the match, three of which were given to MPSC.

The players cautioned in the match were O Somendro, N Milan and Thangminlian of MPSC while Bobocha Ningthouja was the player booked for ESU.

Tomorrow, YWC Thambalkhong will play NISA in the first match while SSU will clash with NEROCA in the second match at Mapal Kangjeibung.
