Muslim community wished on Id

IMPHAL, Sep 10: Various organizations including political parties, individuals and security forces have extended their warm wishes to the Muslim community in particular and the people of the state in general on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.

Maj Gen DS Hooda, VSM GOC, Red Shield Division has conveyed his best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Idul Fitr, an official release of the PIB has stated. The General said that “the Armed Forces fraternity prays to Allah for his blessings on the people of Manipur, so that there may be peace, harmony and prosperity in the state in the days ahead,” added the release.

Major General CA Krishnan, IGAR (South) and all ranks of Assam Rifles also extended their very warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of the state on the occasion of “Id-Ul-Fitr,” stated an official IGAR (South) press release.

A release of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee has stated that Thokchom Meinya, Lok Sabha member from the state has also greeted the people of the state.

The Manipur People’s Party while extending their warm wishes to the people has also prayed for peace and tranquility to prevail in the state without any religious differences.

In a separate press release, the minority cell of the MPP has also expressed their warm wishes to the people of the state.

In separate press releases, the National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO) and the Pangal Students’ Organization, Manipur have also extended their wishes on the occasion of Id-Ul-Fitr.
