IMPHAL, Sept 28: A veterinary camp was organized by 33 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division at Kumbi and nearby villages of Bishenpur today.
The lack of veterinary facility in these areas was duly addressed by the camper which included free distribution of medicines. The camp was inaugurated by the village head of Kumbi.
Altogether 100 animals were treated including cattle and poultry. Capt (Dr) Vikas Sharma of Army Veterinary Hospital and his team not only rendered medical assistance but also advised people on rearing and breeding of domestic animals. Free medicines, vaccines and tonics were also distributed during the veterinary camp.
