Agatha Sangma to visit Ukhrul

Imphal, Oct 6 (NNN): Union Minister of State for Rural Development Agatha Sangma is expected to visit Ukhrul town on October 27.
According to Ashang Kasar, chairman of the Ministry for Peace and Development (MPD), Agatha Sangma will grace the four-day Festival of Fraternity which will kick off from October 27.
The Festival of Fraternity under the theme ,`Compassion` has been organised jointly by Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long and Ministry for Peace and Development.
Ashang Kasar said that former chief minister of Manipur and sitting Rajya Sabha MP Rishang Keishing, Nagaland Parliamentary Secretary in-charge of Tourism, Law and Justice Yitachu Pochury and Manipur Lok Sabha MP Thangso Baite will also grace one event each of the Festival of Fraternity.
Highlights of the festival include debating competitions on various topics prevailing in the state of Manipur, display of cultural programmes, football matches and many other items.
Former chairman of Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) Justice (retired) W.A.Shishak, Project Director of Manipur Aids Control Socity (MACS) PK Jha and other learned persons will take part in the festival.
Noted gospel singer and La Jim Reeves of the Noth East India L.L. Mona will enthral the crowd with his medodious voice.The festival will be held at Tangkhul Naga Long Ground, Ukhrul.
