IMPHAL, Jan 14: The family members of the slain chairman of Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM), Dr. Naorem Kunjabihari, strongly condemned the staff of BSEM and also the doctors of RIMS for trying to mislead the family by concealing the facts related to his death.
Speaking to mediapersons today, the son of (late) Dr. Kunjabihari’s son, Naorem Opendro stated the government should out bring out the truth in his father’s mysterious death right inside his office chamber demanding that the person who had first discovered his father should be produced.
He further alleged that his father was killed in a conspiracy by the staff of BSEM.
The wife of the slain chairman stated that the staffs of BSEM informed to the family that her husband suddenly collapsed due to BP stroke inside his office-chamber and so he was admitted to RIMS.
She further said that the family members rushed immediately to the hospital with the hope of saving his life. However, the doctors and the staffs of department tried to conceal the real cause of her husband’s death.
Later, the family members found out that her husband was shot dead and died not because of heart-attack, she added.
She has also drawn the attention of the government to book the culprits as soon possible and appealed to any concerned organization or individual to make clarifications for killing her husband brutally.
Decrying the gruesome killing, the residents of Kakwa Naorem Leikai along with the family members of Dr. Kunjabihari staged a sit-in-protest demonstration at Kakwa Naorem Leikai blocking the NH-39 (Imphal-Moreh Road).
