UKHRUL, Feb.8: A friendly foot-ball match was played in between the team of Wung Soccer Vs Tangkhul Town Club soccer In the spirit of Census 2011 with a sophisticated and more comprehensive technology innovation counting was played at Ukhrul Tangkhul Naga Long Ground(TNL) at 1:30 pm. The soccer match was sponsored by the Directorate, Manipur Census Department and Organized by the Ukhrul District Sports Association (UDSA).
In the Occasion Mr. Rajen Vishal (IAS) presented as the Chief Guest and SA. Shimray from the Manipur Census Department as the guest of . The Chief Guest Rajen Vishal in his public addressed that under the supervision by his virtue of Post as Census Officer and Ukhrul Deputy Commissioner as the Principal in Census counting expressed gratitude to the Manipur Census Department led by SA. Shimray for organizing the event. He also mentioned that the first and 2nd phases of the UKhrul District iis under way in a peaceful condition and appealed all concerned leaders, Social Organizations and general public to co-operate in the process meant for the good benefit of the people. The Census begun in the first phase was without the NPR but now it is strictly included to have concrete census data of the existing population started from 9th- 28th February. And before the Match begun the Vice-President of UDSA Mr. Surrender Luikhan Ex- CEO(UADC) expressed in his welcome address happiness over the unique and mutual programme and highlighted the importance of the Indian Census done in every 10 years to know the growth rate of the population in connection with the rural development in all aspects by the State and Central Government for the welfare of the people through strengthening the upcoming youth to shape in love, forgiveness and discipline every year or after five year Indian planning plan.
The Wung Soccer beat its rival team Tangkhul Soccer by 3-0. The Wung soccer team just after the kicked-ff time scored one goal wonderfully when the ball was passed by the team Jersey No.9 to Jersey No.12 and later the jersey No. 7 score another one more goal also the goal scored by jersey 13 got in an indirect-kick.
