IMPHAL, May 19: ESU and TBSFA are to clash in the final of the 8th U-16 boys state level Th Birchandra Football Academy football tournament. In the semi final matches played today ESU defeated THAU by a solitary goal while TBSFA defeated SKDC by 2-0 goals. The first semi final played between ESU and THAU was evenly balanced but the Wangkhei team got the upper hand with a fine goal from N Olen in the 10th minute. During the match, two of the ESU players were booked yellow card by referee Sh Suresh for their unsporting behaviours. Unlike the first semi final, the second semi final was more or less dominated by TBSFA which scored one goal each in first and second session. Both goals for TBSFA were scored by Fimate. He struck first goal in the 16th minute while the second goal came in the 60th minute. The final match between ESU and TBSFA will be played on May 21 at Toubungkhok.
