IMPHAL, May14: A joint expedition organized by Manipur University and DMC to south Manipur was concluded on May 11 as expressed in a press release by the MU.The venture was jointly sponsored by Manipur University and Research Scholars from different institutes and departments and during the venture the team was escorted by Assam Rifles and also enjoyed the welfares provided by AR.As revealed in the press release the first part of the expedition was exploration of Maha Chakpi River from Chandel via Khengjoi, Mombi on to Aigejiang, Bollok to Kathong Chingjao, explored and surveyed the Hlungbana cave. The second part was a scientific study of Khumunnon to Khulen, Phuikon Ningthou cave and Phuikon Haosabee cave, it added.
