48 hours deadline set for arrest of culprit

IMPHAL, June 1: The JAC against the brutal killing of Roberoy has set a 48 hours deadline for the government to produced the culprits involved in the killing of the four year old and has threathened to launched various forms of agitation in case of failure of the state government to arrest and produce the culprits before the said deadline.

An active functionary of the JAC disclosed that the decision was unanimously resolved during a meeting held today at Ningthoukhong bazaar, which was also attended by various civil society organizations like the AMUCO, UPF, Heiricoun, NIPCO, UCOBID and meira paibis organizations and local clubs.

The JAC functionary further stated that the meet also adopted other resolutions that included expanding the JAC, and to press the government to construct a memorial complex in dedication to the late minor boy.

Thiyam Roberoy alias Ton, 4, s/o Th Rocky of Ningthoukhong Kha Khunou Ward No.4 was found dead hanging suspiciously at the campus of Ibudhou Thangarel Laishang at Ninthoukhong Kha Khunou on May 18 afternoon.
