Delhi legislative assembly PAC in state to share ideas with its Manipur counterpart

IMPHAL, June 21: A six member team of the Public Account Committee, Delhi Legislative Assembly led by it chairman Veersing Dhingan, MLA Delhi Legislative Assembly has arrived in the state capital this afternoon to share the views and ideas on the functioning of the Public Account Committee of both Legislative Assemblies.

According to an official source the team from the Delhi Legislative Assembly soon after their arrival in the state capital at around 2.15 pm this afternoon attended a courtesy call on the speaker Manipur Legislative Assembly at the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat.

According to the same source, the official interaction with the visiting team’s state counterpart was convened this afternoon at around 3 pm at the office chamber of the speaker Manipur Legislative Assembly which was attended by the members of the state committee which included opposition leader Radhabinod Koijam chairman, PAC along with six members of the committee including O Joy Singh, W. Brajabidhu Singh, Dr. Kh Ratan Kumar Singh, Dr Ng Bijoy Singh, Dr. I Ibohalbi and MLA M Prithviraj Singh.

The members of the PAC Delhi Legislative Assembly team visiting the state have been identified as Sahib Sing Chawhan MLA, Joy Bhagawan, MLA, Shyamlal Garb MLA, Azizuddin under secretary Delhi Assembly secretariat, and senior accountant officer of the Delhi Legislative Assembly.

The official source further mentioned that, the visiting team will be accorded with state reception at the 1st MR Officer Club this evening where the visiting team will be entertained with cultural programs and a dinner.

The team will leave Imphal tomorrow afternoon after visiting important local spots in the morning tomorrow, the source added.
