IMPHAL, July 31: After remaining for ten days in captivity, the three labourers kidnapped by unidentified armed persons from Thoubal district, have been released by their abductors late yesterday, according to a police source.
The three labourers identified as A Hemanta Singh (35) s/o A Kondum of Charanpat Mamang, S Ningthemjao Singh (60) s/o late Birachandra of Loirongthel and L Sarat Singh (28) s/o Bokul Singh of Heirok Part-two were kidnapped by the gunmen from their work place. They were engaged in the construction work of a dam at Itok river on July 21.
Till the filing of this story, it was not clear who were behind the abduction. It is also still not known on what condition the labourers were released.
