BJP to present Sadar hills issue at Parliament

IMPHAL, August 10: A team of the BJP led by Sh. Shantikumar Sharma, president, BJP, Manipur Pradesh along with Avinash Koli, election in charge, BJP, Yanglet Haokip, state secretary, BJP, Manipur Pradesh, L. Bashanta Sharma, state secretary, BJP, Manipur Pradesh and Jangkhohao Haokip, district president, Sadar Hills met the leaders of the Sadar Hills District Demand Committee at Saparmeina today at 11 am.

According to a release of the state unit of the BJP, Shantikumar had decried the mis-governance of the O Ibobi led SPF government regarding the settlement of the Sadar Hills district demand despite the Chief Minister himself announcing the demands as genuine as irresponsible and that the peace loving people of the state should condemn it jointly.

It said that the team also informed that the BJP is concern and that the party has been supporting the present demand of Sadar Hills District since its inception in the state.

Avinash Koli further assured to the leaders of the demand committee that the matters will be raised in the ongoing Parliament session at the centre. The party had draft a detailed report regarding the present situation like law and order, corruption and demands of a separate Sadar Hills district and the economic blockade. The details report will summit to the central leaders tomorrow, it added.
