IMPHAL, Aug 4: Convener of the coordination committee of KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK(Pro), UPPK, RPF and UNLF, Chaoren in a statement condemned the bomb blast at Sangakpham while sharing the grief of the affected family members.
It states that the Chief Minister should try to uproot the NSCN (IM) camps from the state first instead of trying to bring up the issue of cancellation of the cease fire to the centre.
The cease fire does not extend to the state of Manipur, and many lives have been lost while enforcing it. The centre knows that the NSCN (IM) is carrying out crimes in Manipur despite the peace talks but chooses to ignore it. The state government’s inaction also indicates that it works by the whims of the centre.
Blaming the ceasefire issue alone will not prevent any violent acts from the NSCN (IM) in future. The public should also rally to thwart the divide and rule policy among the communities by the Indian government , it said.
