IMPHAL, Sept 9: The family members of a deceased patient vandalized the Chamber of Commerce Hospital today
The deceased patient has been identified as Mutum Ongbi Bheigyabati Devi. She was admitted to the Chamber of Commerce Hospital for treatment of stone related cases on September 7 at around 9 am.
She was given anesthesia on September 8 and taken to operation theatre for surgery. Before taking her to the operation theatre she was having some complicacies. Family members of the deceased frequently enquired about health condition of the patient to the doctors, but they repeatedly replied that the patient is in normal condition and nothing will happen to her.
However, today at 7 am the hospital authorities declared that she was dead.
The irate family members of the patient started to mess up the properties of the hospital due to the pathetic and irresponsibility of the hospital authorities.
One of the family member urged that such kind of incidents are happening in and around the state and these kind of incidents are to be protected at earliest to protect from happening such incidents in the future. The family member also appealed to the people of the state to keep aware of such incidents it is a sign of negligence and carelessness of the hospital authorities.
The family members and localities of Samurou bazaar demanded that justice should be produced whether the case is true or false. The concerned authorities of the hospital should investigate the involving doctors of the hospital. Further, the husband of the deceased has filed a case to the city police to look into the matter.
