IMPHAL, Oct 24: All Manipur Students’ Guardians Organizations has appealed to the state government to rectify the norms for the recruitment of primary teachers under Sarva Shikshya Abhiyan.
Addressing media persons today, O Yaima of the organization stated that the norms for teachers’ recruitment as set by the state education department with due emphasis on the marks of teacher eligibility test should be changed. The marks for graduation and other professional degrees must be given due emphasis.
He also demanded the authorities concerned to include viva-voce in the recruitment of the primary teachers.
