IMPHAL, Oct 29: 22 GRENADIERS of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) provided administrative support to organize The Khengjoi Sports Block Meet culmination ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Mr Thangkolun Haokip, MLA, Chandel District and Mr Lonkhosai Zou, Chairman of Autonomous District Council. The events included final matches of various games including men & women volleyball and football. The meet was proceeded by a cultural programme that depicted the colourful customs and traditions of the Kukis. The chief guest and local people lauded the genuine efforts and initiative of the security forces to help make the event a successful one. The Medical cum Dental Camp also organised by 22 GRENADIERS during the sports meet.
In another occasion, 37 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) organised a Volleyball tournament for men and woman at Aibol Joupi on 28 Oct 11. Teams from villagers i.e. Molanghat , Zoumol, Hollengjang, Tuijang and Aibol Joupi villages were participated and a large number of villagers witnessed the event. In the end all the participating teams were provided with cash prizes and sports items.
