CM in national capital to attend NDC meet

IMPHAL, Oct 21: Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has left Imphal for the national capital this morning to attend a meeting of the National Development Council organized by the Planning Commission of India scheduled for tomorrow at Bigyan Bhavan New Delhi.

According to an official source, Chief Minister who will be assisted by the state chief secretary DS Poonia will highlight the progress of various projects under taken in the state under the Prime Minister’s Package including the High Court complex, assembly secretariat located inside the Capitol project, Chingmeirong, City Convention Centre, cultural complex, Imphal-Tupul Railway lines etc. during the meeting tomorrow which will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohon Singh.

The source further mentioned that, the CM will also highlight the grievances faced by the state government while implementing the projects funded from different central ministries.

On the other hand the state chief secretary before leaving state capital this morning left his official order for the senior most principal secretary to dispose of any urgent administrative matters that cannot wait for the chief secretary’s return.
