IMPHAL October 7: A combined team of Imphal east police commandos and 28 AR arrested one cadre of PULF today from Kongba bridge at around 11 am. The person is identified as Md Rajik Khan alias Ibonaha, 28, s/o Md Apik of Keirao Mayai Leikai, stated a release of the Imhal east police.
It has further stated that one 9mm pistol with live rounds was seized from the individual who later disclosed that he joined the outfit in February 2011 through one Md Ajim. He was involved in extortion activities, the release added.
In another incident, a combined team of Thoubal and Mayang Imphal commandos conducted search operations at Pourabi Mayai Leikai, Imphal east at around 3.15 am yesterday.
During the operation, two cadres of the proscribed outfit KYKL ( MTF) identified as Soram Shemchand alias Malang, 33, s/o Modhu of Pourabi Makha Leikai and one Ngangom Shanta Singh, s/o Ng Krishna Singh of Leishangkhong Awang Leikai, Keibi were arrested.
Two 9 mm pistols with live rounds, mobile handsets with SIM cards were seized from their possession, a release by additional SP, Thoubal said.
