As per ECI wish police officers reshuffled

IMPHAL, December 31: Following a direct instruction from the Election Commission of India, the department of personnel and administrative reforms has issued an official order regarding the transfer and posting of two IPS and three MPS officers in the state.

According to an official source, the addition charge of Sr SP Imphal west has been removed from the charge of Lupheng Kailun.

The IPS officer will now be in charge of DIG range I.

Kamei Angam Ramanus, IPS has been transferred as CO 8MR from addl SP ops Thoubal, while P Ranjit Singh MPS, dy CO 2nd IRB has been transferred as in charge CO 7th MR and L Ishwarlal Sharma, MPS dy CO 7th MR has been transferred as in charge CO 7th IRB.

L Birababu Singh dy CO 1st MR will look after the charge of CO 1st MR, the source informed.

The new reshuffling of police officers in the state has come in the trail of another major transfer and shifting of police officers in the state affecting 11 IPS, 31 MPS and 61 Inspectors of the state recently as per a directive of the ECI in view of the ensuing general election.

The department under the directive of the ECI had also re-allocated four IPS officers of the state on December 29.

Under the December 29 order, the Imphal SP charge has been handed over to Nishit Kumar Ujjwal, IPS who was the CO 1st MR; Thanghaulien Gangte, IPS, CO 7th IRB have been transferred as SP Imphal east; Themthing Ngashangva IPS, CO 8th MR as SP Tamenglong and K Radhashyam Singh, IPS CO 7th MR as SP Churanchanpur, the source informed.
