American band all set for Imphal debut

IMPHAL, May 3: Internationally acclaimed American hard rock band ‘FireHouse’ which had rescheduled its ‘Rock to Rescue India Tour 2012’ due to refusal of visas of some of its band members, are all set to rock Dimapur and Imphal on May 4 and 6 respectively.

The band which is well-known among the North East India mainly for their hits like Sleeping with You, I Live My Life for You, When I looked into your eyes and Love of a lifetime as the band get regular airtime on the Radio, has finally arrived at Dimapur this afternoon from New Delhi.

In New Delhi, the band was warmly received by functionaries of the event management group 7 Sisters Entertainment Group last midnight.

Khuman Lampak main stadium would be the main performing ground in Imphal on May 6 after their Dimapur performance on May 4.

The Firehouse Imphal concert has been sponsored by Airtel and part of the proceeds will be used to enhance AIDS awareness programme for the youths in the region, in association with Manipur State AIDS Control Society.

Advancer and Clueless Attention will be featured as opening acts for the Dimapur concert while Guru Rewben Mashangva and Angellica will be the opening bands for the Firehouse gig here. Guru Rewben will presenting five songs including winning peace together,tears rolling down, songs of hornbill and hopee etc.
