IMPHAL, July 1: The proscribed KCP today remembered its founder and deputy army chief, Yendrembam Ibohalbi (Baji Ibohalbi) with a revolutionary gun salute at the outfit’s GHQ.

Ibohalbi was killed in a gunbattle with security forces at Heitupokpi, Andro on July 1, 1995. The day is observed by the KCP every year to remember the leader.

In a statement KCP said that the present stage of all the revolutionary organizations in the state is the contribution of all the martyrs who created the path of revolution.

The death anniversary of Ibohalbi will signify its importance only after we maintain the unity of the party and trust among ourselves and implement all its policy and programmes together, the outfit claimed.
