In a gala event, Yambem Pushparani of Uripok, was crowned the coveted Miss Pineapple Queen-2012 at Manipur’s historical tourist spot, Sendra on Saturday night. Apart from the coveted title, she also won a subtitle, ‘Best Pineapple Promoter.’
Sharing her “happiest moments,” the 17-year-old beauty exclusively told to www.kanglaonline.com ,
“It’s my first experience, and one of the happiest moments in my life. I will this keep this title as a valuable asset and being a student, I would spend this cash award (Rs. 50,000) for educational purposes. When I became a perfect person I will try at my best to promote the delicious Manipuri pineapple and I will also urge the government for the said purpose.”
Pushparani, is the only daughter of Y Motilal and Y (o) Tondonbi. She is a student of 11 standard at R K Sanatombi Vidyalaya.
Earlier, she had appeared in three albums and wanted to make a career in future as a “successful and prominent actress.”
At the beauty contest, two other contestants namely Hawaibam Pinki of Lilong Chajing and Tingminkim Chongloi of Kangpokpi were crowned as the 1st and 2nd Runners Up titles respectively.
The top three winners were also awarded a cash award of Rs 50,000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively.
