ATDU threatens 12 hr bandh

IMPHAL, Oct 21: The All Tribal Disables’ Union has today threatened to call a 12 hour hill districts bandh in the state if the government failed to respond positively on their demands by October 28.

The union called a press conference at the Manipur Press Club today regarding the problems faced by the disabled candidate’s who are going to seat in the upcoming TET examination.

Speaking to media persons, union president Momo Tantanga said that the union had a meeting with the state Education Minister at the Minister’s office chamber regarding their demands for separate examination centres for tribal disabled candidates, relaxation of 5 percent in eligibility criteria pass mark in TET for them and transportation allowances of the students.

Momo further said the union will call a 12 hour bandh in the five hill districts from 5am of October 29 if the government fail to positively respond to their demands.
