The United Naga Council is reaching out to all the Churches and the general Naga public through this Press Release in thankful acknowledgement for the warm response to the call for a special Prayer mass/service and for special offering on the 8th (Saturday) and 9th December( Sunday), 2012 for the success of the next round of tripartite talk on Alternative Arrangement and for an early and honourable settlement of the Indo-Naga issue. The people’s movement for securing our rights will continue to draw on the support of the Churches in the days to come and has been done in the past.
In respect of those Churches which could not observe the special prayer service/mass and special offering on the 8th and 9th Dec, 2012 due to prior engagements, we request them to them to organize the same on any of the Saturdays and Sundays before Christmas, so that this prayerful programme is made inclusive and universal. As mentioned in the circulation dated 26 November, 2012 the offering collections may be submitted to the UNC through the respective Tribe’s Church Associations /Organisation.
