LAMKA, March 3: The Young Paite Association, YPA HQ celebrated its Diamond Jubilee at its headquarter at Hiangtm Lamka.
Even though the event fell on a Sunday, many from the community congregated to celebrate the function marking its 60th year.
The two day long celebration program start yesterday and was celebrated with pomp and gaiety.
Vungzagin Valte, Parliament Secretary and GS Haupu MLA of Singat graced yesterday’s programme as the Chief guest in the day and night program respectively.
The grand celebration today was attended by Phunzathang Tonsing as the chief guest.
The YPA was founded as a philanthropic organization way back in 1953 on this day. The Diamond Jubilee celebration was celebrated under the theme “Introspection for Social Chance“ for which the organization stood all along. Many awards were presented on the occasion to various achievers from among the Paite community in philanthropic activity.
