Muslim body calls for calm, condemns Kiran murder

IMPHAL, Mar 20: The All Manipur Muslims (Meitei-Pangals) Welfare Association (AMMPWA) convened a meeting  at its office chamber at

Babupara, Imphal and strongly condemned the brutal killing of Thokchom Kiran Singh from Thongju Part 1. 

A statement from the  Association has urged the people of all Communities to join hands together sincerely with AMMPWA in further action including demanding for befitting action against those culprits involved in the murder. It also drew attention of all its fellow organizations in Manipur not to indulge in any sort of untoward incidents due to the unfortunate killing and requested to take the utmost care in releasing any sort of press briefings and news statements, as it may sometimes leads to misconception among various communities.

“AMMPWA strongly feels the confidence in the way all communities in Manipur have been coexisting with love and integrity right from the beginning of history and reaffirms the unbreakable bindings that binds  all communities since time immemorial,” the statement said while urging the  general public not to give any communally provocative comment in the wake of the unfortunate case.
