Sadar Hills meritorious students award distributed

KANGPOKPI, May 31: As part of its endeavour to bring quality education and to encourage the young learners of Sadar Hills district Manipur, the 15th Maj Pagin Kipgen SM Meritorious Award was handed over to 11 students from different schools within Sadar Hills selected as the 10 toppers of Sadar Hills in HSLC Examination, 2013 and two MIL toppers in Manipur by (L). Maj Pagin Kipgen SM Foundation-A Charitable Trust today at Hope Chapel, Parizeus Maranatha Academy, Kangpokpi.

The awardees are, Henkholen Khongsai, St.Vincent`s School, Pangmol (89.2%), Noushi Singsit, Elite Hr.Sec.School,Kpi (83.6 percent), Lamminlal Chongloi, Parizeus Maratha Academy, Kpi(86.3 percent), Tulsa Poudyel, Emmanuel High School, Haipi(79.6 percent), Lalminlun Kipgen, Elite Hr.Sec.School,Kpi (78.2 percent), Krishna Timsina, Emmanuel High School, Haipi (77.6 percent), Anand Bista, Emmanuel High School, Haipi (77.4 percent), L.Haokhogin Haokip, St.Vincent`s School, Pangmol (76.6 percent), R.Shami, Ideal Eng.High School, Charhajare, (76.2 percent), Jeevan Bhattarai, Emmanuel High School, Haipi (74.6 percent), Roselyn Lhingpichong, Diamond Eng High School, Kpi (74.4 percent).

They have been awarded a cash prize of Rs.1500 each along with a certificate and a memento.

A brief life history of (L).Maj.Pagin Kipgen was delivered by Hemang Singsit, Principal Ngaimel School, Keithelmanbi.

Speaking at the occasion after the distribution of the award, Haokholien Guite, Executive Member, ADC Sadar Hills said that the desire to achieve one`s goal needs labour, tireless efforts, healthy mind and healthy body, family support, obedience besides God`s blessing.

He further said, there are so many cases of students being expelled due to impersonation, using of unfair means, etc. during the examination within Sadar Hills since many years back. But now it can be assumed that the area has become impersonation and unfair means free examination zone.

Chongpu also suggest the student that, one key in life to be successful is “Live without Fear” while inspiring the awardees to have the same determination or guts of to have no fear to face any opposition or competition.

Addl.DC, Kpi DK.Thangboi asked the students to be aware in choosing a right option for making their future career while assuring the foundation trust to help them in the award ceremony.

Thangminlen Kipgen, Ex-MLA and the brother of (L). Maj.Pagin Kipgen while speaking on the sideline of the occassion emphasized on the role of parents in making the future career of the students.
