IMPHAL, June 14: A one day legal awareness program was conducted at the Ramlal Paul Higher Secondary School, jointly organised by the Ramlal Paul 1982 Matric Alumni and the Imphal West District Legal Authority today.
The program was attended by CJM Imphal West, RK Memcha, as the chief guest while Ibechoubi, principal of Ramlal Paul Higher Secondary School attended as function president.
Advocate Dr Ch Narendra Singh, advocate Ch. Momon, Hijam Dineshwar president Kripa Society spoke as resource persons.
RK Memcha in her speech, divulged that the objective of the legal awareness program was to impart basic legal tips to the people.
She informed that the public can now seek legal advise from the district legal authority Imphal West which has established legal clinics at Cheirap Court, Lilong, Malom and LMS Law College.
Exhorting the public to pass on the knowledge gain during the awareness amongst friends and family, she also asked the public to abide and respect the fundamental laws and duties of the country.
Advocate Dr Ch Narendra Singh also expressed the need to give such awareness amongst the students.
