IMPHAL, Oct 3: A team of Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) made a spot inquiry at the residence of Irengbam Rajen Singh of Irengbam village, Bishnupur district, in connection with the death of Irengbam (n) Pukhrambam (o) Rojini Devi, said a press release by MSCW.
The team led by chairperson Dr Ibetombi Devi and including advocate, Legal Advisor S Meghachandra Sharma and counselor H Urmila Devi later resolved during a meeting to initiate taking up a suo moto case in condition with the death of the 18-year-old housewife.
According to the press release, 18 years old Rojini Devi, wife of Pukhrambam Chandrakumar Singh of Nambol Sabal Leikai was found death on September 27 at 11 p.m. at the residence of her husband.
It said, the team interacted with family members of Irengbam Rajen Singh and the locals of the village who were assembled at the residence.
