IMPHAL, Oct 13: The deputy commissioner of Tamenglong district, C Arthur, today inaugurated a 13-room guest house of Tamenglong.
The inauguration function was attended by DC Senapati and Ukhrul as special guests.
The guest house was constructed by DRDA Tamenglong district under the fund of BRGF, 2012-2013 at the cost of Rs 70 lakhs.
Meanwhile, with the inauguration of Tamenglong district badminton association by the DC Tamenglong, at lower ground indoor stadium the 12th inter hills district Manipur Badminton tournament was simultaneously kicked off.
Altogether 150 players from Ukrul, Chandel, Senapati, Churachandpur and Tamenglong will take part in 15 categories during the tournament that will conclude on October 17.
As a feature of the inauguration ceremony, exhibition matches of DCs from five hill district, was also held.
