IMPHAL, Oct 26: A combined team of Bishenpur police and 6 Assam Rifles in an operation at the Wangoo Sabal Makha Leikai area, apprehended a self styled Sergeant Major of the UNLF, Moirangthem Joykumar Singh alias Shaymjai alias Mera, 48, son of M Amuba Singh of Wangoo Sabal Leikai, according to a police press release.
The release said on 9mm pistol along with one magazine holding six live round were recovered from his possession.
It said a case has been registered against the arrested man at the Kumbi Police Station, and further investigation is on.
