IMPHAL, Jan 20: The lifeless body of Md Firoj alias Amu has been claimed following an understanding brought between the JAC formed against the death and the State government yesterday.
Amu reportedly succumbed at a hospital after a mob assault for allegedly trying to break open shops at Khangabok Bazar on the night of January 14.
His death sparked controversy as the JAC and the bereaved family claimed that he was innocent, whereas locals of the Khangabok Bazar area claiming otherwise.
