KISG appeals for release of three abducted persons

IMPHAL, Feb 28: The Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai (KISG) on Saturday expressed strong concerns over the abductions of three persons from H. Khopibung village under Saikul sub-divisional, Senapati district on the night of February 25.

According to the KISG, the three persons who were abducted are Paongam Chongloi (60), his son, Letlenthang (35) and Paolen Chongloi (45) s/o Lutkhomang. They were taken away by armed militants from their village H. Khopibung, but no reason was given for the abduction.

The KISG appealed that abduction and kidnapping of villagers is a matter of great concern and may have serious implication in the society therefore any kind of dispute, misunderstanding etc should be settles through talks in accordance to with customary laws or any laws of the land added KISG.

KISG further appealed to the responsible arm militants to release the abducted persons without any conditions at the earliest on humanitarians ground and in the interest of peace and communal harmony added KISG.
