Two more Swine Flu suspects test negative

IMPHAL, April 6: Two more patients, who were admitted to hospitals and suspected to be suffering from the deadly Swine Flu caused by H1N1 virus, have tested negative. Results of the swab samples collected from the two patients returned from the Mumbai lab today.

Even though the first case of Swine Flu in the state was recorded on March 5 of this year, the total of people suffered from the disease so far is five.

According to reports of Directorate of Health Service, Government of Manipur, the total of patients admitted to hospitals suspected to have suffered from the disease so far is 17. Results of the Swab Test of all the patients whose samples were sent to Mumbai for the test has reached. Of the total, five were tested positive while the remaining 12 patients were tested negative.

It may be mentioned here that two women succumbed to the disease on March 11. With the death of the two patients, there remain only three patients who were tested positive. However, the three patients have been cured following their treatment, the reports stated.
