IMPHAL, August 27: The 84th Haipou Jadonang`™s death anniversary under the theme `Haipou Jadonang, Pioneer Protagonist of Journey of Common Hope` will be observed on August 29 at 9.30 am at Puiluanh Village (the birth place of the late freedom fighter) under Nungba Sub-division, Tamenglong district.
The observation function is to be jointly organized by Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) and Haipou Jadonang Memorial Trust.
TS. Worngam, vice-president of United Naga Council (UNC); Ashingpou Gangmei, vice-chairman of Committee on Alternative Arrangement, UNC and Titus Kamei, president of Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) will grace the function as chief guest, guest of honour and functional president respectively.
Story narration on the life of Haipou Jadonang, parade display, traditional song and dance presentation etc will be the main highlights of the function.
The organising committee has appealed to all the public, village authorities, students, church leaders and all the Zeliangrong organizations to participate in the observation function.
