February 25, Delhi : Manipur Students’ Association Delhi in a press release  strongly condemn the incident of harassment and assault on the members of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) by Manipur Police at Mantripukhri, Imphal on 14th Feb 2016.

The statement signed by Rajiv Mairembam, General Secretary, MSAD further states that MSAD demand an immediate action against those responsible Police personal for such a crime on civilians. What is very disappointing is the irresponsible attitude of the Manipur Government in the matter. ”We strongly condemn such high handedness of Manipur Government for not taking up the issue seriously when NSF submitted their memorandum to the Government. MSAD would stand against any kind of atrocities unleashed by Manipur Government or Police to any civilian or target on particular community by them. Manipur Government should bring a peaceful democratic solution to the issue. However MSAD would not encourage any communal protest or decision on the matter. All the democratic forces in Manipur and Nagaland must unite for common cause on this issue.” added the statement.
