Meira Paibis of Sega road gave a warm welcome to the five volunteers with garlands. Speaking to media persons KSA president Moirangthem Lakshman said the State Government has been allegedly condoning the traders who were involved in adulteration of food items as indicated by the arrest of KSA executives.

Thanking the CJM, Imphal West for hearing their plea and releasing the five executives without any condition, the KSA president said the association will call off their proposed bandhs.

However, KSA will continue with its drive to root out the unethical practice adulterating food items, the KSA president stated while urging the people to support their initiative. Food adulteration is a serious crime. The shopkeepers that were caught red-handed by KSA volunteers should be punished according to the law of the State, he said.
