He was speaking at the 37th foundation day of BJP held today at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of BJP Manipur Pradesh.
After looking into the authenticity of these complaints, DCs and police officers concerned were instructed yesterday to investigate into some of the complaints.
The State Cabinet has already adopted a decision to do away with the process of holding interview/viva voce during recruitment of Grade III and Grade IV employees in order to check graft practices.
However, interview/viva voce would be held for recruitment of teachers and other professions which need regular orientation programmes. Nonetheless all interview/viva voce processes would be completed without undue delay, assured the Chief Minister.
All officers have been instructed not to keep any file pending on their tables for more than two days.
Necessary measures have also been initiated to spare aged and retired pensioners from standing in long queues in front of banks and by the side of the roads while withdrawing pension amounts.
The Government has also been planning to introduce direct transfer of pension amounts to bank accounts of pensioners.
BJP is one political party which firmly believes in the ideology “Nation’s first”.
“Even though I joined BJP only a few months back, I pledge that I will not belie the trust and confidence of the party”, Biren asserted. The State Government’s administrative policies and development programmes would be in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
“During my recent meeting with the Prime Minister, I assured him that I would never let him down”, continued the Chief Minister. Claiming that the existing coalition Government is a gift of God, Biren maintained that BJP sacrificed everything in the process of forming the Government.
“I couldn’t/can’t sleep thinking about how to translate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance to lift economic blockade into action and accomplish in 15 months what the Congress Government could not in 15 years”, he stated.
Pointing out that the indefinite economic blockade had been lifted following a tripartite meeting, the Chief Minister conveyed gratitude to the UNC and the Naga people for bringing such an understanding.
The Government has been working to hold a dialogue with JACAATB Churachandpur and they have set certain pre-conditions in black and white. The Government would work relentlessly to normalise hill-valley relationship, Biren pledged. Before the election, BJP promised to bring a bandh/blockade free Manipur because the BJP Government would always keep its door open for dialogue with anyone before they take recourse to bandhs or blockades.
The State Government has already started filling potholes of all major roads of Imphal and other district headquarters while MAHUD Minister Th Shyamkumar has been personally supervising an extensive cleanliness driver at Khwairamband Keithel.
Works and IPR Minister Th Biswajit, MLA L Radhakishore, former party presidents Th Chaoba, M Bhorot, H Borobabu, Sh Shantikumar and former Chief Minister Radhabinod Koijam were also present at the foundation day function which was presided by BJP Manipur Pradesh president K Bhabananda. Bhabananda said that the foundation day would be celebrated till April 15 at district, morcha and cell levels. He claimed that the BJP-led coalition Government would never break apart until it completes its full term.
The 37th foundation day of BJP was also observed today by BJP, Imphal Central District and BJP, Sagolband Mandal at Takhellambam Leikai, Sega Road.
The programme was graced by Jyotin Waikhom, vice president, BJP, Manipur State Unit, Sh Shantikumar, former president, BJP Manipur Pradesh, Ph Manibabu, secretary, BJP, Manipur Pradesh, Dr Ksh Loken, former MLA and Meinam Deben, vice president, Imphal Central District as presidium members.
