IMPHAL, Sep 16: Troops of 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector and 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched joint operation in the area of Thongju and apprehended one PULF cadre at around 9 pm on 15 September. The apprehendee was identified as Imtihan Khan, 20, son of Md Rehematula, resident of Keirao. The apprehendee was handed over to Singjamei police station on 15 Sep 10 at 11:30 pm.
In yet another incident, troops of 12 Maratha Li of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched operation in general area Khelakhong and apprehended one PULF cadre on 15 September at around 10.30 pm. The apprehendee was identified as Maynagmayum Bashirudin alias Shadi, 29, son of Mayangrnayum Suleman, resident of Irong Makha Leikai Maibam Palli.
