IMPHAL, Sep 12: The BEE NET Manipur (Biodiversity Ecology and Environment Network Manipur) in association with Nongchup Kharam Pallen Village Authority organized a tree plantation cum environment awareness programme at Kharam Pallen village today.
A release of the organization has stated that many selected saplings of indigenous trees were planted in the hills.
R Umsophul, chairman of Kharam Pallen village authority, S Bhubol, secretary local network of BEE NET, R Thangneisan, secretary of Kharam Pallen village authority and P Bandhan, secretary of National Research Centre were on the dais as presidium members of the awareness programme which was held in the community hall of the village.
It has also added that a network of three members of BEE NET was opened in the concluding part of the programme.
