IMPHAL, Sep 22: The Nagaland government renders full support to the Nagas of Manipur to disintegrate the state but the Manipuris often overlook their fellow hill brothers who stand daringly to safeguard the territorial boundary of the state, said the re-elected president of MPCC Gaikhangam during his reception programme organized by Wangoi Block Congress Committee today at Wangoi Bazar.

Gaikhangam further maintained that the issue of territorial integrity of the state should be shown in true action rather than staging dramas in front of the general public. The people of Manipur should stand united so that no one dares to disintegrate Manipur which has a unique history of more 1000 years of peaceful co-existence of different communities, he said.

The problems of hill-valley division will be solved through active involvement of both hill and valley people in all issues of the state. The AICC and Congress-led SPF government have been able to establish a good administration in the state aiming at equal development of both hill and valley regions, the Congress president asserted.

Gaikhangam also said that the people of the state should have emotional integration as well as sacrificing spirit to safeguard the territorial integrity of the state.
He has also taken a solemn pledge to uphold the trust and confidence of the people of the state.
The reception function was also attended by S. Achouba, vice-president of MPCC, Govindas Konthoujam, MLA, P. Shashikanta, secretary MPCC, and other workers of MPCC, Seva Dal and Wangoi BCC.
