Ibotonsana girls stage protest

IMPHAL,Sept 9: The students of Ibotonsana Girls High School staged sit in protest today at their school complex at Uripok to mark the protest against the failure of the edcuation department to maintain proportionate teaching staffs in the institution till today.

Several hundreds of the students of the said Higher secondary school made their demonstration displaying placards carrying slogans like “No Quality Education without teacher” etc and created serious impact to the normal functioning of the very educational institution today.

In the meantime, speaking to the media persons during a brief interview during the protest the general secretary students union of the school Thiyam Rosina disclosed since the starting of this session the school is lack of regular teachers in political Science, Chemistry and Zoology department.

She further added that to the concerned education minister L. Jayentakumar the union had also submitted an ultimatum demanding to supply adequate teachers on or before 8 Sep however the concerned is yet fulfill the union demands and so this step of action staging protest against the government is being started from today, and until demand is fulfill union will further continue added.
