LAMKA, October 1: Making yet another bout of attack on the state Chief Minister O. Obobi Singh for his placement of officials to man the affairs of the Tribal Development & Hills primarily from the non tribal community instead of tribal officials allegedly on the ground that they are no less competent than others in managing their own affairs, the CDSU in a press hand out today stated  they are dismayed and utterly astonished to learn further that inspite of all this state of affairs, the department has been placed under strict control of the CM himself as minister.

It said the department has been exclusively set up for the welfare and development of tribal communities in the state but the CM placed non tribal officials ranging from commissioner to jt director due to reason best known to him and termed the move as a sinister designed to meddle into the affairs of the tribals to suit the interest of the anti- tribal lobbyist which has been in diametrically opposite to the tall claims of the Congress led SPF government.

The statement demanded that the post be handed over to a tribal MLA and officials from tribal communities be deputed to look after the department at the earliest possible.
