IMPHAL, Jan 28: Reliable sources stated that an encounter took place between heavily armed UG cadres and security personnel at Saibol under Tengnoupal sub division.
It is reported that a team of CRPF escort on poll duty at Saibol came under heavy fire from some UG cadres and there has been two casualties at the side of the security personnel. Saibol is located 86 kilometres east from Chandel headquarters.The report is still sketchy and is yet to be confirmed.
